Overview: It’s fair to say that Ceproval, political centre of the Grand Sookas Dynasty and the original evolutionary homeworld of the reptilian sookas themselves, is not the first planet to appear on most people’s lists of top holiday destinations. This is partly due to the general nature of the Grand Sookas Dynasty itself (and it should be noted that the notoriously secretive sookas are perfectly happy to not have visitors turning up there), but it’s also down to the fact that the parts of Ceproval which aren’t ocean are, by and large, desert.

Orbiting closer to its star (Raskaratol) than the human homeworld, Earth, Ceproval’s climate is proportionately more arid, and it’s long been suspected that this less benevolent climate is what made the sookas into the fierce people they are today; where the n’kaf reacted to living on a ‘deathworld’ by hiding and staying out of trouble, the sookas adapted to their hostile planet by being the toughest, most unpleasant species on it.

The sookas sit at the top of a food chain that houses some of the most aggressive and rapacious lifeforms in the whole Cynos Union. It’s often half-jokingly said that everything on Ceproval is trying to eat everything else, and that even includes the plants; Ceproval is indeed home to many different types of flora, but a surprisingly proportion of these plants are carnivorous, especially, as people so often joke, the purple ones.

And as the joke goes on to say, around 90% of Ceproval’s plant life is purple...
